Depravity, graphic sex or nudity, raw violence, the cult of death, the crisis in gender, deformity, raw and illness… continue to concern critics, artists, writers and their audiences. In the Greek community during the eighties and the nineties, the art world had been slow in acknowledging this trend. As we enter the millennium, a movement in Greek art and public awareness seems to finally be addressing in non-idealized body and its ramifications.
